Dance
Scotland has Highland dancing and country dances. The Highland dance is called the reel: dance around the sun and its basic step is a skip change and a pas-de-basque. The strathspey has its own step. Popular songs are: Strip the Willow, The Petronella, The Dashing White Seargeant, Eightsome Reel. The Highland fling is another dance. Dances performed by men are the Seann Triubhas: Old Trousers, (pron. shawn trews) Argyll Broadsword, and other sword dances. (3)
